About Us

The Didsbury Parsonage Trust was set up by Didsbury Civic Society in 2011 in order to create a multi-use community hub at the Old Parsonage in Didsbury. The Old Parsonage is a Grade II listed building, parts of which date back to the seventeenth century. Its most famous resident was Fletcher Moss, who bequeathed the house and surrounding land to the City of Manchester in 1919. After a long life as a City Art Gallery, the house was latterly used as offices. The Parsonage is now an integral community hub used for exhibitions, classes, business seminars, talks, weddings and parties, with the Trust working to safeguard and manage this for the future.
